Little Hands is a full day, full year preschool program serving children 3 years old to 5 years old.
Our preschool curriculum is theme-based, designed around the Illinois Early Learning Standards for Pre-K, to create an enthusiasm for learning and build school readiness skills for Kindergarten and beyond.
As part of our literacy curriculum, we utilize Jolly Phonics
(also used by school district 158), a program that
targets letter recognition, phonics, and writing of the
alphabet to help your child achieve optimal early
reading and writing skills.
Social-emotional skills are critical to every child's success, which is why we teach supplemental curriculums - Second Step and Conscious Discipline, to build an early foundation of negotiation skills, identifying feelings, and self-calming methods.
